Los Angeles Bail Bond, Legal Resources and Jail Information

Bail is set by the county jail in which a defendant is arrested and is reviewed annually and published for use by law enforcement and by the public. Bail amounts are set based on public safety hazards and county schedules generally include bail for the actual crime and takes extenuating circumstances into consideration. An example of this would be the crime of rape would have one bail level while rape of a minor or rape with battery involved would involve a higher bail level.

All Star Bail Bonds offers bail bond services all over California. We provide local bail bond agents so that we can assist defendants who are arrested in any jurisdiction.

If you are arrested in Los Angeles you will be transported to a local Los Angeles jail or you may be taken to the local police holding facility. Once bail has been established and posted, the defendant often has several weeks to prepare to appear in court. Once a defendant has been released, it is important for them to decide if they need legal assistance (see do I need a lawyer) and if they do it is imperative that retain an attorney and discuss all of the aspects of their case with that council.

The following detention facilities are covered by our professional bail bond agents in Los Angeles County

Because this facility is so large, the entire process for bonds may take upwards of twenty four hours to process. This is a dangerous facility and severely understaffed. The cells are often filled to more than twice their intended capacity and inmates held here are often only allowed three hours a week of time away from their cells. Agoura Hills/Lost Hills Jail – this small facility is located south of Highway 101 and is a small facility that houses detainees for limited periods of time. If we are notified early enough, we can prevent the detainee from being transferred to the larger Twin Towers facility which may add several hours onto the bonding process. This facility is run by the Lost Hills Station of the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department located at 27050 Agoura Road in Agoura Hills and they may be contacted at 818-878-1808. The La Mirada sub-station telephone number is 562-902-2960 and the Whittier sub-station number is 562-903-1875. Typically processing a defendant out of custody at one of these smaller facilities is much easier and less time consuming than waiting until they are transferred to the larger facilities. This facility holds only forty detainees at any one time and processing and booking takes approximately three hours. Once this process is complete and bail is set you should contact us immediately and we will complete the bond process and secure the release of the detainee before transfer.
